Job summary

State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) in Melbourne is seeking a Manager People Partnering & Services to lead SSCT's People Partnering and operational HR services, delivering strategic workforce advice, employee relations and risk management.

As a member of the Senior Leadership team, you will empower leaders with workforce solutions, drive compliant practices, and foster a positive workplace culture across SSCT’s venues.

The Victorian State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) operates and maintains over $1 billion assets including four of Australia’s largest multi-sport venues, the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), the State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium incorporating the State Athletics Centre, and Knox Regional Sports Park including the State Basketball Centre (SBC).

Unlike other major international standard venues that host sport and entertainment events, SSCT venues also provide access for users at all levels, from elite and professional athletes to school and community participants 7 days per week, up to 16 hours a day.

Through the provision of access for all, SSCT makes a unique and significant contribution to Victoria’s sport sector.

About the role:

As the Manager People Partnering & Services your will lead SSCT's People Partnering and function, delivering strategic workforce advice, people services, employee relations and workplace relations outcomes that enable organisational performance, workforce capability and effective risk management.

As a member of SSCT’s Senior Leadership team, you will have a key role providing leadership across people partnering, P&C operations and employment relations, ensuring leaders are supported to implement workforce solutions, manage people matters effectively and foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.

About you

As an established people leader, you will have significant experience leading P&C business partnering, operational services and employee relations functions. You've successfully navigated through complex employee relations matters and organisational change, bringing proven stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills. Your proven ability to provide strategic workforce planning and management advice and influence executive and senior leaders sets you apart.

To be effective in this position, you’ll bring advanced knowledge of employment and industrial relations legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and workforce risk management. Your experience improving P&C service delivery through process improvement, data insights and technology will set you up for success for this pivotal role.
