Job summary

Australian Country Choice is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR team on the day shift, 5:30am to 1:30pm. This hands-on role partners with operational leaders to deliver practical HR solutions across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and compliance.

You will provide expert guidance on employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and HR policies, while coaching managers and supporting change initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience in an advisory or business partnering HR role, preferably in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related discipline.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and IR principles.
• Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and employment legislation pragmatically and consistently.
• Strong employee relations experience, including investigations, grievances, discipline, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across assigned business units.
• Manage employee relations matters including grievances, investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance management.
• Coach and support leaders in handling performance conversations, documentation, and people leadership challenges.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies and procedures.
• Support the employee lifecycle including onboarding, role changes, workforce planning, and off‑boarding processes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate HR documentation, records, reporting, and HRIS data.
• Assist with organisational change initiatives including restructures and role redesigns.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support employee engagement, retention, wellbeing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote ACC values and behaviours through all HR activities and interactions.
