Job summary

BDO in Australia is seeking a People & Culture Manager to join the Perth office and partner closely with senior stakeholders. You will lead local P&C priorities, embed national strategies locally, and support performance, culture, and operational effectiveness within the Perth client group.

You will coach a local P&C team, manage employee relations, remuneration, engagement, inclusion and diversity, wellbeing and turnover, while ensuring compliant and consistent program delivery

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a generalist People & Culture business partnering structure.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into people initiatives and outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of employee relations and people risk management experience.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of local people priorities, translating strategy into practical initiatives that support business performance and workforce needs.
  • Coach and develop local P&C team members, fostering capability and accountability while contributing to national P&C initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and partner with senior leaders on all people matters arising in the Perth Partner group and within client groups, including ER, performance, remuneration, engagement, inclusion and diversity, talent, wellbeing and turnover, identifying and minimising risks.
  • Drive alignment across local, service line and national P&C teams to ensure consistent, compliant and effective delivery of people programs and processes.
  • Partner with leaders to foster a high-performing and inclusive culture, leveraging employee insights to drive engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Lead people-related change initiatives and drive adoption of systems, processes and ways of working that enhance the employee experience and business effectiveness.

About the Role

We are looking for a People & CultureManager to join our P&Cteam in Perth. Reporting to the Head of P&C Business Partnering, this role will play apivotal role in supporting the performance,cultureand operational effectiveness of BDO’sPerthoffice.

Partnering closely withlocal senior stakeholdersand leadership teams,you will provide trusted, commercially focused P&C advice and lead the delivery of strategic and operational people initiatives that support high-performing, engaged and connected teams.

As the lead P&C partner for Perth, you will work closely with national P&C teams to embed people strategies,programsand initiatives across the office, ensuring a consistent approach whilereflecting local needs and context.

About You

  • Deep understanding ofemployee relations and people risk management experience, with the confidence to navigate complex and sensitive matters

  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
