Circuit Recruitment Group is seeking a Penetration Tester for a 6-month Canberra-based hybrid role. You will lead security testing engagements across on-premise and cloud, interfacing with clients from scoping through readout. Immediate start for a hands-on tester in a secure environment.

Required NV1/NV2 clearance, OSCP, 4+ years of experience, and expertise with Burp Suite/Nmap/Metasploit/BloodHound; strong reporting and presentation skills essential.

Qualificações

• Proven on-prem and cloud testing experience
• Strong tooling knowledge: Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, BloodHound
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Based in Canberra and available to start immediately or on short notice

Responsabilidades

• Penetration testing across web apps, internal/external networks, infrastructure and cloud
• Run Active Directory and internal network attack simulations to identify attack paths
• Assess cloud environments for misconfigurations and security weaknesses
• Produce clear, actionable reports translating findings into risk and remediation
• Lead client meetings from engagement kickoff to presenting results and recommendations
• Review the work of other testers to maintain high-quality deliverables
• Share knowledge and mentor less experienced team members

About the opportunity

A leading tech consultancy is urgently seeking a Penetration Tester to support a Government Defence client. You’ll be the technical lead on security testing engagements across on premise and cloud environments, working directly with stakeholders from scoping through to final readout. This is an immediate start for a hands on tester who can hit the ground running in a secure environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting penetration testing across web applications, internal and external networks, infrastructure and cloud platforms
• Running Active Directory and internal network attack simulations to identify real attack paths
• Assessing cloud environments for misconfigurations and security weaknesses
• Producing clear, actionable reports that translate technical findings into meaningful risk and remediation advice
• Leading client meetings, from engagement kickoff through to presenting results and recommendations
• Reviewing the work of other testers to maintain a high standard of quality across deliverables
• Sharing knowledge and supporting less experienced team members

What we need to see:

• Current NV1 or NV2 clearance, and willingness to undergo the NV2 process if not already held
• OSCP certification (non negotiable)
• 4+ years of hands on penetration testing experience
• Proven experience testing both on premise and cloud environments
• Strong working knowledge of industry standard tooling such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit and BloodHound
• Excellent report writing skills and the confidence to present findings to technical and non technical audiences
• Based in Canberra and available to start immediately or at short notice

Bonus points:

• CREST CRT or CCT (Applications or Infrastructure)
• Advanced certifications such as OSWE, OSEP or OSCE3
• Cloud security experience across AWS, Azure or GCP, or relevant cloud certifications
• Familiarity with the ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight
• Previous experience delivering into Defence or Federal Government environments
• Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell or Bash
