Bindaree Food Group is seeking a Pen Rider to monitor cattle health, handle livestock with low-stress techniques and maintain accurate movement records. You will ride pens daily, identify health issues early and administer treatments as required, supporting welfare and safety standards across the operation.

The role offers above-award pay, a 10 on/4 off roster, on-site accommodation with meals, parental leave, and comprehensive horse support including paddocks, vet reimbursements and meat

Qualifications

• Confident horsemanship and a solid approach to horse care.
• Ability to supply two suitable horses and your own tack (preferred).
• Experience handling livestock in a calm, considered way.
• Ability to spot animal health issues and apply treatments as required.
• A team mindset, good communication and a willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

Introduction:

This role plays a key part in keeping cattle healthy and the operation running smoothly. As a Pen Rider, you spend your days riding pens, spotting issues early, and making sure cattle are handled properly and consistently. The work matters because good riding supports animal welfare, safety, and overall performance.
