Hunter Primary Care is a not-for-profit committed to improving health outcomes and reducing disadvantage across the communities we serve. In partnership with Grand Pacific Health (GPH), we're building the new Tamworth/Armidale MMHC from the ground up — and we need Peer Workers who want to help shape it.
This position is full-time, fixed term until 30 June 2029, with the possibility of extension.
As a Peer Worker, your own lived experience of life changing mental health challenges, mental health service use, as well as periods of healing and personal recovery will be critical to support people accessing the program with their own lived experience of the same.
We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, the LGBTQI community, multicultural communities, and people with a disability.
