About the Role

Payroll Specialist LSL Remediation

Lead and manage the complete payroll process for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across all employees.

Payroll Processing
  • Coordinate and oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for all employees in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Review and approve payroll transactions, including timesheets, leaves, and adjustments.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and accurately.
Compliance and Regulation
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, regulations, and tax laws related to payroll processing in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, superannuation, and award rates.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors as necessary to ensure compliance and resolve any issues.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and develop a team of payroll professionals, including Team Leaders responsible for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Implement best practices and automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams, such as HR and Finance, to integrate payroll systems and data effectively.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to track key metrics, trends, and compliance indicators.
  • Prepare and distribute management reports, including payroll costs and analytics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll data analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Manage relationships with payroll service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
