Job summary

Babcock Australasia in Adelaide is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, reporting to the Payroll Services Manager. Based at our Franklin Street CBD office, you will deliver accurate, timely payroll services to employees across the business.

You will manage end-to-end payroll processing for fortnightly and monthly cycles, handle compliance (Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation), maintain employee records, and support system improvements

Qualifications

  • Australian Citizen with Defence security clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and payroll software (SuccessFactors, HR3, ADP, Preceda and/or Dayforce).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of payroll operations, HR processes, employment law and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll-related documentation.
  • Manage payroll compliance activities (Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation).
  • Support processing and review of employee timesheets and stakeholder collaboration for improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes to drive efficiency and service delivery.
