Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our payroll team and deliver accurate, timely payroll services for a diverse workforce. This permanent full-time role is based at our Tomago Head Office and suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about service and accuracy.

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will manage end-to-end payroll across multiple entities, maintain records, respond to enquiries and support year-end activities while

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in payroll within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems and complex payroll structures.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll accurately and on time
• Managing payroll reconciliations, superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG obligations
• Maintaining employee payroll records, including salaries, allowances and leave balances
• Processing termination payments and other payroll-related transactions
• Responding to payroll enquiries and resolving payroll issues
• Assisting with payroll audits and year-end reporting requirements
• Producing payroll reports and analysing payroll data
• Ensuring compliance with employment, taxation and superannuation legislation
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes and systems
