Job summary

A reputed educational institute in Australia is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage full-function payroll for 200 staff. You'll be responsible for fortnightly payroll processing, payment calculations, and payroll reporting in a stable environment with strong values. Ideal candidates will have 4-5 years of experience in a payroll role, preferably within an independent school. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the willingness to learn and complete a Working with Children check.

The Role

This is a standalone Payroll Officer position for a school where your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Full-function payroll position
  • Fortnightly payroll processing for 200 staff
  • All associated payments and calculations
  • Superannuation and PAYG
  • Payroll reporting
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process for the payroll budget
Your Background

To be considered for this Payroll Officer position, you will need to fulfil most of the following criteria:

  • 4 to 5 years of full-function experience within a payroll team or standalone role
  • Experience working in an independent school environment
  • Excellent communication to handle employee queries
  • Willingness to learn
  • Complete a Working with Children check
