Job summary

Future Secure AI is seeking a payroll specialist to own ANZ payroll data and core HR records, ensuring accuracy across AU and NZ while coordinating with an external payroll vendor and Deel as the single source of truth.

You will report to the Senior Director, People and Culture, and work closely with HR Business Partners, Finance and the wider business. This hybrid role offers visibility to leadership and a path for growth in a fast-growing AI company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payroll administration, HR systems or HR operations in Australia and New Zealand.
• Hands‑on experience with Deel or a comparable HRIS and payroll platform.
• Experience running a monthly payroll cycle with an outsourced payroll vendor.
• Working knowledge of AU and NZ payroll and employment fundamentals (PAYG, super, KiwiSaver, NES, NZ employment law basics).
• A methodical approach to data entry and reconciliation, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll inputs for new starters, terminations, pay changes, leave and variations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with our payroll vendor on the AU and NZ pay runs, including input files, queries and validation.
• Reconcile data before submission and review post-payroll reports, escalating discrepancies early.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and end-of-financial-year processes including statutory items.
• Own the integrity of core HR data in Deel and resolve sync issues across connected systems.
• Prepare accurate HR data and reports for the business and HRBPs.
• Produce employment contracts, variation letters, and other correspondence, maintaining templates.
• Be the first point of contact for employee payroll, leave and Deel queries, handling sensitive information discreetly.
• Support payroll audits and keep records in line with AU/NZ requirements.
