Lyrebird Health in Cremorne, Melbourne, is seeking a Payroll & HR Operations Coordinator to manage payroll across Australia and the UK and handle HR admin in Rippling.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you will maintain accurate employee records, prepare contracts, and coordinate with EOR providers while handling confidential information with discretion. This is a hands-on, growth‑oriented role in a fast-changing business.
You'll process payroll across Australia and the UK, coordinate with our EOR partners internationally, and handle the HR admin that keeps employee records, contracts and Rippling accurate and up to date. It's a hands-on role where accuracy is everything: every person at Lyrebird relies on you to get their pay right, every cycle. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture and based in Cremorne (hybrid), you'll also be the first point of contact for People Leaders and employees on payroll and contract questions.
You're detail-driven and you like it when things are right. You get satisfaction from a pay run that reconciles first time and a record that is complete and current. You're organised, you follow a process properly, and when something doesn't look right you raise it early rather than hoping it sorts itself out. You treat confidential information with complete discretion, and you're comfortable in a business that’s growing and changing quickly.
Every day in Australia, 10 people die from preventable medical errors. Not from incurable diseases, but from misdiagnosis, missed information, and clinicians making decisions under impossible pressure. At the centre of that failure is a doctor spending 40% of their day on paperwork instead of patients. Lyrebird is fixing that.
We turn real clinical conversations into accurate notes, automatically, backed by ambient real time document creation, intelligent document management and clinical workflow automation, native patient data integrations across siloed health systems, and a patient and clinical communications layer. Thousands of clinicians across multiple disciplines use Lyrebird every day in environments where accuracy, safety, and time matter deeply. We're growing fast across Melbourne, the UK, and Asia, and there's a finite window right now to set the standard for clinical AI in Australia before anyone else does.
Every clinician using Lyrebird gets time back for their patients, and that only happens if the people building it can stay focused on the work. Getting pay right, every single time, is how you earn the trust of the whole team. It's work that matters more than people realise, and you'll be the one making sure it happens.
We're building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who benefit from our work. We want Lyrebird to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. If you're from an underrepresented background in tech, we strongly encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement.
