Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In exceptional cases, candidates may be hired above the recruitment range, provided agreement is reached with the Union.

The Payroll and Benefits Administrator ensures the accurate and timely processing of the full payroll cycle and is responsible for a variety of benefits administration duties. You will be verifying entries relating to pay transactions, payroll earnings deductions and related remittances. You will be tasked with setting up and maintaining procedures for the processing of various wage assignment court orders. You will also be the go-to person for inquiries from BC Transit employees, other departments as well as a variety of agencies in regards to pay records, vacation, pension etc. In addition, you will also be performing a variety of other pay related duties including generating payroll reports, maintaining records, and documenting process for processing of pay.
