We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to supervise our Patient Services department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department to ensure exceptional support and service is provided to doctors, patients, and clients. You will play a key role in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services across all operational areas, with a strong commitment to efficiency, professionalism, and alignment with our organisational values.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide day-to-day leadership for the Patient Services team, ensuring staff are well supported, appropriately trained, and working to clearly defined expectations.
- Oversee workflow management so that enquiries, referrals, and service requests are handled promptly and with professional care.
- Maintain effective communication channels with clinical and administrative teams to support coordinated service delivery.
- Monitor departmental performance, identifying areas where efficiency, quality, or responsiveness can be strengthened.
- Uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring that patients, doctors, and external clients experience clear guidance, courteous interaction, and reliable assistance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that improve operational consistency and compliance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of Patient Services staff.
- Respond to escalated concerns or service issues with professionalism and attention to organisational values.
- Prepare routine reports for senior management, summarising service performance, staffing considerations, and operational developments.
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in a healthcare, customer service, or administrative leadership role supervising staff or managing a service-focused team.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the confidence to guide a diverse team.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong customer service focus.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High‑level computer literacy and experience managing data and document control systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and alignment with our organisational values.
- Ability to promote a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in clinical environments or patient‑facing services and an understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.
- A degree in management or leadership.
