Job summary

Laverty Pathology is seeking a Pathology Collector to join our team across hospital, patient collection centres and home visits within the Newcastle region. You will collect blood and other specimens with care, ensuring accuracy and a compassionate patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will work across varying shifts, including weekdays and weekends, with on-call requirements. A Certificate III in Pathology Collection and current driver's license are essential to support efficient

• Previous experience in pathology collection, ideally across hospital, collection centre or community environments.
• Healthcare experience in nursing, aged care, disability support or a related field will also be considered.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a Pathology Collector, you will collect blood and non-blood samples across a range of settings while delivering a positive, professional and caring experience to every patient. In this position, you will be rostered across hospitals, patient collection centres and home visits, responding to varying patient needs and changing clinical priorities.

About You

For this position, we are seeking an experienced Pathology Collector who is reliable, adaptable and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications And Experience

• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is essential
• Previous experience in pathology collection, ideally across hospital, collection centre or community environments
• Healthcare experience in nursing, aged care, disability support or a related field will also be considered

Requirements

• Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability and willingness to travel between multiple locations
• A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
• Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements, including Hepatitis B
• Reside within 25km of Lingard Hospital or Hunter Valley Private Hospital
