Job summary

Healius is seeking Pathology Collectors to join our Ormeau team, delivering a positive, professional and caring experience to every patient. You will collect blood and other samples, ensuring accuracy and safety while supporting timely diagnosis and patient comfort.

As a flexible casual role, you’ll join a supportive team with training provided and opportunities to grow. Strong communication and empathy are valued as we work to deliver high-quality care in our community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.
• A healthcare background or strong customer-facing experience is advantageous.

About The Role

As a Pathology Collector, you will collect blood and non-blood samples while delivering a positive, professional and caring experience to every patient. You’ll play an important role in ensuring samples are handled accurately and efficiently to support timely diagnosis and care.

About You

Experienced Pathology Collectors are highly regarded, however this role can suit people from a range of backgrounds. Some of our most successful Collectors have come from working in aged care, disability support, nursing or in customer-facing roles where they have experience supporting people and providing a great service.

Qualifications And Experience

• Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential
• A background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience

Requirements

• A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
• Ability to provide evidence of immunisation requirements including Hepatitis B
