Job summary

A marine service company in Gold Coast City is looking for a full-time team member in their Parts and Warranty area. The ideal candidate should have some experience in the boating industry, excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include parts ordering and inventory control. This position offers training and requires enthusiasm and a flexible approach to work.

Qualifications

  • Must have some experience and knowledge about boats.
  • Ability to work with parts ordering and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Order and dispatch parts.
  • Control inventory and conduct yearly stocktakes.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers about orders.
  • Process warranty parts and registrations.
  • Support the Service Manager.

Company Overview

Queensland Marine Centre is the dealer for Sea Ray and Boston Whaler Boats. QMC is the sole distributor of Boston Whaler boats for all of Australasia and has been one of the top Sea Ray Dealers since their inception. QMC facilities include a new boat showroom and an expanded service department at the showroom, plus an in‑water display of larger boats as well as dedicated shed and hardstand Service areas at the Gold Coast City Marina. Other Brands include Mercury, Simrad, Raymarine, Fusion, JL & various other boat brands.

Currently QMC has a full time position available in the Parts and Warranty area. Training will be provided however we are looking for someone with some experience, a quick learner and must have knowledge about boats. The person must be enthusiastic, show a willingness to learn and be flexible with the job role.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Parts ordering
  • Parts Dispatching
  • Inventory Control, including yearly Stocktake
  • Communication with suppliers and customers on orders placed
  • Data entry of purchase orders and invoices
  • Warranty Parts ProcessingBoat Warranty Registrations
  • Supporting the Service Manager
  • Sourcing Aftermarket options
Required Skills and Attributes

To be successful you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in the boating industry (desirable)
  • Excellent knowledge of boats including the parts & components of the boats
  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills
  • Intermediate computer knowledge
  • Experience using Revolution Next software, an advantage but training will be provided
  • Hold both a Car and Boat license
  • A valid Fork lift license (desirable)
  • Be punctual and a team player
  • Enthusiastic with a can‑do attitude
