Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a part-time Hospital Assistant Grade 2 to support clinical units at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The role provides assistance to nurses and staff, performing tidying, cleaning, stocking and errands to ensure the service runs smoothly.

The position offers a permanent part-time arrangement with a minimum 16 hours per week, at $31.42 per hour plus superannuation. NSW Health policies, vaccination requirements, and a focus on patient safety underpin this role.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a hospital setting.
• Awareness of Infection Control principles and Manual Handling principles.
• Able to maintain safe work practice and adhere to WHS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists Nurses, Midwives and other staff in clinical units to ensure overall functioning of the service.
• Tidying, cleaning, stocking and errands as required.
