Job summary

Wellways is seeking a Vocational Pathways Officer in Traralgon to provide person-centred coaching and navigation for carers returning to work. You will help carers identify aspirations, build on strengths, and take practical steps toward meaningful vocational participation.

You will collaborate with the Connect Centre team, develop employer and education partnerships, and focus on direct coaching while supporting placement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Exceptionally strong communication skills and ability to connect with people.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field of study and/or equivalent experience.
• Satisfactory National Police Records Check
• Working with Children and NDIS Workers Screening Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Right to Work within Australia
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
• Previous experience leading and/or working in vocational/carer programs
• Lived and Living Experience as a Family Carer

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred vocational coaching and navigation to carers.
• Develop personalised vocational plans and build confidence and resilience.
• Connect carers with employment, education, training and volunteering opportunities.
• Develop relationships with employers, education providers and community services to expand opportunities.
• Focus on direct vocational coaching; undertake partnership development and placement support as needed.
