Part-Time Videographer & Video Editor – Automotive & Fabrication

We’re a small boutique fabrication shop looking for a part-time videographer and editor to help capture what happens in our workshop.

At SsCustom, we’re heavily involved in the automotive scene, doing custom car fabrication and designing and manufacturing our own fabrication tools. We also run Everlast Australia, so there’s plenty of welding equipment, product demonstrations and workshop content to get involved in.

We’re looking for someone who can take that mix and turn it into engaging videos, from the detail that goes into a custom build to the finished product in action.

The role

Most of our content is short-form video for Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube Shorts. We’d also like to start making longer YouTube videos around 10 minutes, following workshop projects, custom builds, product demonstrations and educational content.

You’ll be:

• Coming into the workshop to film fabrication work, cars, products and behind-the-scenes content.
• Editing footage into finished videos, including audio, music, captions and colour correction.
• Bringing your own ideas for content, hooks and stories.
• Working with our small team to capture natural on-camera content.
• Helping plan and produce longer YouTube videos.

Who we’re looking for

Someone who’s confident both filming and editing, has a good eye for detail and knows how to make content people want to watch.

An interest in cars, welding or fabrication would be a big plus. You don’t need to be a fabricator, but being interested in the work and understanding the automotive scene would help.

You should be comfortable working independently, capturing quality footage and clear audio in a working workshop, and taking an idea through to a finished edit.
