Job summary

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking a suitably qualified psychologist to join the student wellbeing team. This part-time 0.4 FTE parental leave replacement position runs for 12 months, commencing January 2027, across Keilor East, Essendon and Moonee Ponds campuses.

The role requires registration with AHPRA (full preferred), school experience, and a passion for supporting child, adolescent and family wellbeing within an educational setting.

Qualifications

• Registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Experience supporting students in a school environment.
• Educational psychology qualification would be advantageous.
• Ability to handle child, adolescent and family issues in education.
• Commitment to child safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional counselling to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
• Conduct assessments as required.
• Collaborate with the wellbeing team and school staff.
• Engage with students, parents and teachers to support learning and wellbeing.
