Job summary

Keyton, Australia’s leading operator of retirement living communities, is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Officer for The Aerie at Narrabundah. You will coordinate repairs, perform preventative maintenance and assist residents with day-to-day tasks to keep the village safe and welcoming.

This 30-hour-per-week role offers flexible hours across Monday to Thursday, with potential for full-time consideration for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyperson or property maintenance role.
• Strong practical skills and ability to undertake a broad range of maintenance tasks.
• Customer-focused approach and genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid computer skills and confidence using digital systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
• Proactive, reliable and team-oriented attitude.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and undertake general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the village.
• Maintain village buildings, common areas, facilities and grounds to a high standard.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become problems.
• Support workplace health and safety compliance and report hazards as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update work orders using computer-based systems.
• Contribute to the presentation, safety and overall resident experience within the village.
