Job summary

Fuse Recruitment is seeking reliable Part-Time Pick Packers to join a busy warehouse and dispatch team in Rydalmere. You will support order picking, packing and dispatch, with RF scanners and PDA-directed picking, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation of pallets for shipping.

These roles offer consistent weekday hours (Mon, Tue and Fri, with occasional Wed/Thu), day shifts from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and opportunities for extra hours when workloads require.

The Client

A well-established food manufacturing and distribution business based in Rydalmere, operating within a fast‑paced warehouse and production environment. The business specialises in the preparation, storage and distribution of premium frozen food products, supplying customers across various channels. With a strong focus on product quality, food safety and efficient operations, the team works collaboratively to ensure orders are accurately prepared, stored and dispatched to meet customer requirements.

About the Role

You will play an important role in the day‑to‑day warehouse operations, primarily supporting order picking, packing and dispatch activities.

We are ideally looking for candidates who can offer flexibility as workload and dispatch requirements may vary from week to week.

Working Days & Hours

• Monday, Tuesday and Friday – main required working days.
• Occasional Wednesday and Thursday shifts depending on workload.
• Standard hours are 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
• Flexibility to work additional hours when dispatch volumes require.

Your duties will include

Picking, Packing & Dispatch

• RF scanning and PDA‑directed picking of customer orders.
• Picking, packing, labelling and checking orders for accuracy.
• Wrapping and preparing pallets ready for dispatch.
• Staging and loading orders for dispatch.
• Preparing goods for production, transfers and customer orders.
• Completing stock movements, replenishments and location transfers.
• Reporting any stock discrepancies, damaged goods or picking errors.

Receiving & Stock Control

• Assisting with receiving, unloading and physically checking incoming stock.
• Checking product quantities, descriptions, condition, labels and stock details.
• Recording lot/batch and expiry information where applicable.
• Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies or damaged products.
• Completing PDA‑directed put‑away and stock location transfers.
• Escalating any discrepancies or uncertainties to the Warehouse Storeperson or Pick Pack Dispatch Coordinator.

General Warehouse Duties

• Restacking, moving and replenishing stock as required.
• Maintaining warehouse, freezer and storage areas in a clean and organised condition.
• Ensuring pallets, racking, aisles and storage areas are maintained safely.
• Removing rubbish, wrapping and damaged pallets from work areas.
• Returning equipment and materials to their designated locations.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.

About You

• Previous warehouse or pick packing experience.
• Experience using RF scanners
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking orders.
• The ability to undertake repetitive manual handling and physical warehouse duties.
• A reliable, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility with availability to assist during busier periods.
• Experience with receiving, stock movements and replenishment (advantageous).
• A good level of physical fitness and the ability to undertake repetitive manual handling.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety and safe manual handling practices.
• Awareness of food safety and maintaining clean warehouse environments.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
