Job summary

Wattle Children Services is seeking a Diploma trained Nursery Educator to join our early childhood team at Wattle Grove, NSW 2173.

This part-time role runs 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with a lead nursery educator and a class of up to eight children aged 6 months to 2 years.

You will plan activities, support development, maintain a safe space and foster positive relationships with families while upholding duty of care and policies.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent is required.
• NSW Working with Children Check and current First Aid/CPR are required.
• Strong communication, patience and ability to build relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, supportive care for children aged 6 months to 2 years.
• Plan age-appropriate learning activities and experiences to support development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, stimulating learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with children and families and communicate regularly about wellbeing.
• Support routines including feeding, toileting, rest times and transitions.
• Follow duty of care policies and service procedures.
