Job summary

Avant by Doctors for Doctors is seeking a Doctor in Training Medical Adviser to be based in Avant's Medical Indemnity Division, working across divisions to understand medico-legal risk and provide medical input into complaints, claims, research and member education.

The role requires commitment to two days per week on a 12-month contract, contributing to claims support, education, and risk mitigation for DITs and Avant members.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and current specialty training participation.
• Strong written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical input to Claims Department and Medico-Legal Advisory Service.
• Increase medicolegal safety awareness among Doctors in Training.
• Support research and education for Avant members, staff and external stakeholders.
• Develop risk management resources to reduce patient and practitioner risk.
• Represent Avant in medical forums and contribute to policy papers.
