Job summary

Queensland Government in the Moreton Bay region is seeking a caring Teacher Aide to join Redcliffe State High School. You will support teachers with learning materials, deliver literacy and numeracy assistance, and help students with additional needs in a collaborative classroom setting.

This temporary part-time role (0.79FTE) aims to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can participate, build confidence and succeed with supportive guidance from a dedicated school team.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting teachers and supporting class activities.
• Ability to work with diverse learners.
• Blue Card or exemption required for working with children in Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and activities.
• Provide individual and small-group literacy and numeracy support.
• Assist students with additional needs and personal care as required.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, sports and excursions.
• Promote student wellbeing, health and safety.
• Assist with administrative duties and student records.
• Maintain classroom equipment and learning materials.
• Communicate effectively, work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.

We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Teacher Aide to join our team.

The successful applicant will be passionate about helping students achieve their potential, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
