Catherine McAuley Primary School in Medowie is seeking a Canteen Manager to lead the new canteen from term 1, 2027. This permanent part-time role totals 18 hours per week, with 6 hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in school terms.

The successful candidate will plan menus, manage food prep, ordering and stock, while promoting healthy choices and a welcoming school community. The role requires experience in hospitality or canteen operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience in food prep and service in a school or hospitality setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with children.
• Ability to supervise a small team and show initiative.
• Strong time management to handle day-to-day operations.
• Experience with volunteers and parent groups.
• Knowledge of basic financial management systems.
• Understanding of WHS and legislative requirements.
• Computer literacy including MS Office.
• Experience in food safety and handling.
