Job summary

GLAICA Ltd is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to deliver safe, person-centred nursing care to residents in a supportive aged care setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to uphold dignity and independence.

Role requirements include current AHPRA registration for Enrolled Nurse, CPR, police check, and Australian working rights. The position offers Permanent Part-Time hours, competitive salary and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Full Australian working rights.
• Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of aged care nursing.
• Ability to work within your scope of practice and under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Competent computer and clinical documentation skills.
• A genuine commitment to resident-centred care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous Residential Aged Care experience.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Experience with clinical documentation and electronic care systems.
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislative requirements.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Delivering safe, person-centred nursing care in accordance with individual care plans and within your scope of practice.
• Supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.
• Undertaking clinical observations and reporting changes in residents' health and wellbeing to the Registered Nurse.
• Assisting with medication management in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Supporting wound care, continence care, nutrition and other clinical care requirements as directed.
• Contributing to assessments, care planning and ongoing evaluation of resident care.
• Responding appropriately to changes in residents' condition and clinical emergencies.
• Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Team Leaders, Personal Care Workers and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Supporting infection prevention and control practices.
• Promoting a positive culture of respect, safety, dignity and continuous improvement.
• Escalating clinical concerns and changes in resident condition to the Registered Nurse or relevant clinical leader.
