Job summary

HMH is seeking an experienced Crane Operator and Truck Driver to join our Port Macquarie team on a part-time basis. The role involves safely operating cranes and driving heavy vehicles to move materials and equipment across project sites, under the supervision of site managers.

You will perform pre-operational checks, coordinate lifts with spotters and supervisors, and maintain accurate records of usage and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Crane Operator certification.
• Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (Class HR or above).
• Experience operating cranes on construction sites.
• Experience driving heavy vehicles and specialist transport.
• Strong health and safety knowledge relevant to plant operation.
• Excellent communication on busy construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous construction site experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes safely to lift and position materials and equipment on construction sites.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections of cranes and trucks to ensure safe condition.
• Transport construction materials, equipment and machinery to project sites using heavy vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols, legislation and site procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel to coordinate lifting and transport operations.
• Maintain records of equipment operation and vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with securing loads to ensure safe transport.
• Adapt to changes in site conditions and project requirements with professionalism.
