Job summary

Total Resource Solutions in Haymarket, Sydney, is seeking a Part-Time Cost Modelling Analyst (Program Investment) for a 6-month NSW Government project. The role is 3 days per week, paying $850 per day plus super, with a maximum of 8 hours per day.

You will develop and maintain an overarching cost model across ICT and OT program briefs, evaluate up to three investment options per brief, and perform comprehensive cost-benefit and NPV analyses to inform business cases and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience developing and quality-assuring complex financial or investment cost models.
• Strong experience with cost-benefit analysis and NPV modelling.
• Proven experience preparing investment costings and benefits analysis for business cases, major programs or regulatory submissions.
• Advanced Excel skills, with transparent and auditable models.
• Strong knowledge of discount rates, indexation, assessment periods and modelling assumptions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile large financial datasets.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an overarching financial and cost model across ICT and Operational Technology Program Briefs.
• Cost up to three investment options for individual Program Briefs.
• Undertake detailed cost-benefit and NPV analysis.
• Identify and quantify tangible and non-tangible benefits.
• Establish modelling assumptions covering discount rates, indexation and assessment periods.
• Develop clear, structured and auditable financial models.
