The University of Melbourne invites applications for a fixed-term, part-time research fellowship (0.4 FTE) in chronic disease research, in collaboration with Austin Health. Level B or Level C academic salary bands pro-rata for part-time appointments plus 17% super.

You will lead or co‑lead projects, secure funding, publish, supervise HDR students, and build national and international partnerships to advance translational research.

Formación

• PhD or DMedSci in biomedical/clinical/health field relevant to chronic disease.
• Experience leading translational research and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of peer‑reviewed publications and competitive funding.

Responsabilidades

• Lead or co‑lead chronic disease research projects with Austin Health and UniMelbourne colleagues.
• Secure competitive research funding as chief or co‑investigator.
• Supervise and mentor HDR candidates and medical students.
• Publish high‑quality research outputs and foster collaborations with clinical partners.
