Job summary

Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the health unit with catering, cleaning, and food service across kitchen, laundry and housekeeping areas. This part-time, ongoing permanent role offers varied duties and a pro-rata salary.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, focusing on food safety, client wellbeing and efficient service, with flexible rosters and opportunities to develop skills in hospitality within a public health setting.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and flexibility to work in varied settings and rosters.
• Strong interpersonal and numeracy skills; respectful with diverse people.
• Reliable work performance, meets deadlines and maintains confidentiality.
• Some experience in housekeeping, catering/cooking and laundry.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, workplace safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering and cleaning services including food preparation, service and delivery.
• Work across kitchen, laundry and housekeeping areas of the health unit.
• Support client wellbeing through efficient service and clean, safe facilities.
