Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Catering Assistant for a part-time permanent position at Uniting Farmborough in Unanderra. You will provide time-efficient catering services to our residents, meeting dietary needs and delivering a person-centred approach to meals.

Applicants should have hands-on hospitality experience and hold a Certificate III in Hospitality; a Food Safety Certificate is highly desirable. A valid NSW driver license is required to drive the catering van when needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hospitality or food services.
• Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification (highly desirable).
• Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable).
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide time efficient catering services to residents.
• Communicate with residents about dietary needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with care staff to meet individual dietary needs, including texture-modified meals.
• Maintain health, hygiene, sustainability, and safety practices in kitchen and service.
• Drive the catering van to pick up and drop off food deliveries when required.
