Job summary

LMC Financial Group, located in Cooroy on the Sunshine Coast, is seeking a part-time, office-based Accountant with a minimum of 20 hours per week and the potential to develop into a full-time role. You will work closely with the Principal Accountant across a diverse client base and a range of accounting responsibilities.

Ideally, you will have at least two years in an Australian public accounting practice and be working towards or hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in an Australian public accounting practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or working towards.
• Experience using Xero; knowledge of MYOB, QuickBooks and BGL is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Preparing income tax returns for individuals, sole traders and investors.
• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for small business entities.
• Preparing BAS (Business Activity Statements).
• Bookkeeping duties including payroll processing, STP reporting and superannuation.
• Assisting with general accounting and taxation matters for a diverse client base.
