Job summary

Yarra Ranges Council is seeking a Gardener to maintain parks and streetscapes to a high standard. You will operate mowing and vegetation equipment and follow sound horticultural practices within a self-managed Parks team in the Yarra Valley.

This full-time permanent role offers 38 hours per week, a Band 4 classification, and a salary range of $75,140 to $80,191 per annum plus superannuation, with flexible leave options and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in amenity horticulture or park maintenance to uphold high standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of horticultural practices and safety.
• Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, reserves and streetscapes to standard.
• Safely operate mowing and vegetation maintenance equipment.
• Complete programmed and requested works to specification.
• Support on-the-job training for casual staff when required.
