Job summary

Parks Victoria is seeking a Ranger Team Leader to guide a motivated team in the Grampians area. You will manage on-ground operations, engage visitors, and deliver programs in line with organisational priorities while protecting park values.

You will work with Traditional Owners, volunteers, operators, and stakeholders to deliver education, events and access while ensuring safety and a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management or related fields.
• Experience supervising staff and delivering on-ground services and projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Rangers and Customer Service Officers.
• Manage on-ground estate operations in line with policies and priorities.
• Deliver community engagement, volunteers work, and education programs.
• Coordinate with Traditional Owners, tour operators, and partners; oversee permits and retail services.
• Contribute to forest fire management arrangements as part of the team.
