Job summary

Workfast is seeking Park Maintenance Labourers for a project in Commonwealth Park, Canberra ACT. The role is casual with potential for ongoing work, with pay at $34–$36 per hour plus overtime and superannuation, approx $1,400 per week.

Expect genuine training, career development, and experience with a national business. You will drive to various locations, work in either the watering or park maintenance team, and perform soft landscaping, mowing, and site clean-up.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• White card (construction safety) preferred.
• Cert in Horticulture is advantageous.
• Previous turf landscaping experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Drive to different locations as part of the role.
• Work in watering or park maintenance teams.
• Carry out soft landscaping tasks such as mulching and planting.
• Brush cutting, mowing lawns and general site clean-up.
• Perform repetitive and physically demanding duties.
• Complete ad hoc duties as assigned by the site supervisor.

What you will be doing:

Driving to different locations

Will work within the watering team OR park maintenance team

Soft landscaping (mulching, planting, minor landscaping etc)

Complete ad hoc duties as assigned by the site supervisor

What you need:

Full working right in Australia

Cert in Horticulture - Highly advantageous

Previous Turf Experience - Beneficial

Strong commitment to safety and quality

Excellent health & safety behaviours and physically fit

Professional work ethic

Customer-focused & excellent attention to detail

Previous gardening and landscaping experience is beneficial
