Job summary

Zurich Cover-More in Sydney, Australia, is seeking an experienced governance and legal professional to support the General Counsel, APAC, across APAC and global businesses. You will coordinate Board and Committee meetings, manage regulatory filings and company secretariat duties, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and drive governance improvements.

This is a 12-month maximum-term contract with hybrid work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in a Paralegal, Assistant Company Secretary, Company Secretariat, Governance or Corporate Compliance role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Boards, Committees and senior executives.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance frameworks and company secretariat practices.
• Experience managing ASIC regulatory obligations and filings.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including SharePoint and document management systems.
• Excellent written communication and document drafting capabilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, APAC, you'll support governance, legal and regulatory activities across Zurich Cover-More's APAC and global business. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Coordinating Board, Committee and Shareholder meetings, including agendas, minutes, resolutions and governance records.
• Managing corporate compliance obligations, regulatory filings and statutory registers across Australia and New Zealand.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements and legal documents.
• Supporting legal risk management, regulatory monitoring and corporate projects.
• Maintaining governance and legal systems, records and reporting frameworks.
• Developing practical legal resources, templates and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Partnering with stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance and the broader business to provide timely, commercially focused support.

This role offers exposure to senior leadership, Board governance, commercial contracting and legal operations within a dynamic APAC environment.

This is a 12-month maximum-term contract, offered as a result of an internal secondment opportunity.
