Based in Lane Cove, these full time, permanent roles are from 6.30 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday (45 hours per week) - Your overtime is guaranteed after 38 hours each week!

So, who can be a Panel Beater at SMART?

• You’ll be qualified in Collision repairs.
• Attention to detail is paramount.
• We work collaboratively, so the ability to have open communication with your peers in relation to repairs and timeframes is crucial.
• With our roles being full-time and permanent, you must have full Australian work rights.
• From time to time, we’ll ask you to assist in other areas relating to your skills, such as Assembly of vehicles on completion of repairs and mentoring our Apprentices.
• Most importantly, you must be prepared to make safety your number one priority for yourself, your work mates and your customers.

Detailer / Car Washer :

• Quality check vehicles upon receipt, ensuring completeness of previous work.
• Complete external wash & clean of vehicle using available equipment.
• Buff / De nib paint to achieve required finish.
• Maintain clean workspace.

Prepper :

• Prepare, prime, buff and denib vehicle as per job sheet.
• Handle all vehicles with due care and attention.
• Maintain your work bay and assist with cleanliness throughout the workshop.
• Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE.

Apprentice Panel Beater :

• Disassemble vehicle
• Label parts and store accordingly
• Notate broken parts / extra repairs and submit to Estimator
• Double check new parts are correct and not damaged
• Carry out repairs as per the Repair Method and in accordance with the Job Sheet / Estimate
• Reassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
