Byzantine Investments Pty Ltd T/A CrashClaim in Homebush, NSW, is seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join our automotive repair team. The role involves assessing, repairing, restoring and replacing damaged body panels and structural components to meet manufacturer standards and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will work with workshop supervisors and technicians to ensure efficient, accurate repairs, using MIG and spot welding, metal fabrication and finishing techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience or equivalent part-time experience.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle body construction and accident damage repair.
• Experience using panel-beating hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
• Ability to assess damaged vehicle panels and determine suitable repair procedures.
• Working knowledge of welding, metal fabrication, panel shaping and surface preparation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect accident-damaged vehicles to identify damage to body panels and structural components.
• Assess damage to doors, bonnets, guards, bumpers and other body components.
• Interpret repair specifications, manufacturer guidelines and technical drawings.
• Determine repair methods including panel beating, straightening, replacement and welding.
• Remove dents and restore panels to original shape and alignment.
• Prepare repaired panels for painting and refinishing; ensure correct fit and gaps.
