Job summary

Calvary is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) Level 2 to lead the Palliative Care Unit (PCU) in Sydney. You will provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, high‑quality, evidence‑based care for patients and families.

In this role you will oversee staffing, finances and facilities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with governance standards while working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team across the hospital.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage resources and drive quality care.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supports nursing and support staff to deliver compassionate and responsive palliative care, while fostering a culture of collaboration, professional accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
• The role is responsible for managing human, financial and physical resources, monitoring operational and clinical performance
• and ensuring compliance with professional, legislative, accreditation and clinical governance requirements.
