Project Ceres (Perdaman)

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

About the Role

Join our team as an experienced Painter Blaster on the Perdaman Project in Karratha. We are looking for someone with 4+ years' hands on experience in construction environments. This position offers a 20:8 roster (20 days on, 8 days off) with Perth as the point of hire.

  • Perform abrasive blasting (sand, grit, shot, or other media) to remove rust, scale, paint, and contaminant
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming as required
  • Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers
  • Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure quality standards are met
  • Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment
  • Follow job specifications, blueprints, and coating system requirements
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
What you will bring to the team:
  • A relevant Trade Certificate and Construction White/Blue Card.
  • Working at Heights, High Risk Work License (EWP), Confined Space and Gas test Atmospheres.
  • Ability to operate blasting equipment, spray guns, and air compressors
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Previous experience working FIFO/ Mining/ Construction or Project based environments will be highly regarded.
  • Hold a current Australian Driver's License.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
