Job summary

Carma is a digital pre-owned car dealership in Sydney seeking a hands-on Paint Correction Detailer to join our Automotive Production team. You will restore finishes, apply ceramic coatings and deliver vehicles that look pristine for customers.

Join a fast-paced, collaborative shop with a focus on quality. You will work on heavy cut and polishing tasks, and a valid NSW driver's license is preferred. State-of-the-art equipment and a supportive culture await.

Qualifications

• You have previous detailing experience including cutting, buffing, polishing and paint correcting.

Responsibilities

• Ceramic coating & paint correction: apply ceramic coatings and perform paint correction to achieve an exceptional finish.
• Master exterior correction: heavy cut, buffing, multi-stage polishing, wet sanding and paint touch-ups to remove defects.
• Inspect & diagnose: evaluate paint imperfections and coat types to choose the right correction process.
• Drive shop quality: polish panels to Carma standard and provide feedback to the team to catch defects.

We’re looking for a hands-on and quality-driven Paint Correction Detailer to join the Carma team! In this role, you’ll help bring every vehicle back to its shine through thorough detailing, paint correction, and ceramic coating work. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, supportive team that takes pride in delivering vehicles that look and feel amazing for our customers.

What you'll be doing?

• Ceramic coating & paint correction: apply ceramic coatings and perform paint correction (compounding, polishing, waxing) to achieve an exceptional finish.
• Master exterior correction: execute advanced heavy cut, buffing, multi-stage polishing, wet sanding, and paint touch-ups to eliminate scratches, swirls, and defects.
• Inspect & diagnose: accurately evaluate paint imperfections and clear coat types to select the exact right correction process for every panel.
• Drive shop quality: polish panels to the Carma standard, auditing your own work and offering constructive feedback to teammates to catch missed defects early.

Okay, let’s talk about you:

• You have previous Detailing experience cutting, buffing, polishing, paint correcting (even if that’s working on your own cars)
• You have a keen eye for detail – we love a perfectionist!
• You are motivated to learn and grow your skills
• You are reliable, punctual, and take pride in your work
• You hold a valid NSW driver’s licence
