Monash Children’s Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic General Paediatric Surgeon to join our team. The role is for 0.5 EFT / 19 hours per week and the successful candidate must adhere to the competencies as defined by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
The successful applicant will work with a supportive, established team of staff delivering excellence in surgical care to the paediatric population of south‑east Victoria. Monash Children’s Hospital is the third largest children’s hospital in Australia, performs approximately 3,000 procedures a year and is home to the largest neonatal unit in Victoria. In addition to close co‑operation with general, regional and subspecialist paediatricians we provide a consultation service to the feto‑maternal unit within Monash Health.
Applicants must have a demonstrated capacity to work harmoniously and collaboratively within a small team, possess excellent communication and leadership skills, have FRACS or equivalent College Fellowship and have specialist medical registration with AHPRA.
