Job summary

JPS Recruitment Group is seeking a Paediatric Registrar for a well-established regional hospital in Queensland. The role offers broad clinical exposure, hands-on experience, strong senior support and potential access to an AMC-accredited Workplace Based Assessment (WBA).

The position may suit Australian-trained doctors and International Medical Graduates (IMGs) aiming to build paediatric experience within the Australian healthcare system, with a supportive environment and structured supervision.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Relevant postgraduate hospital experience, with paediatric and/or neonatal experience highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care across General Paediatrics, Special Care Nursery/Neonatal care and acute paediatric presentations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds, clinical handover and outpatient care.
• Assess and manage acute admissions and complex paediatric presentations.
• Supervise, mentor and teach junior medical officers and medical students.
• Participate in clinical education, quality improvement and departmental activities.
