Role

Paediatric Psychiatrist – part‑time remote. Reports to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patients with professional medical advice via video telehealth using Access Specialist software as per appropriate specialty.
• Provide medical care through various therapies pertaining to the clinician’s speciality.
• Post‑consultation, provide the referring general practitioner with all relevant consult documentation, including a summary letter.
• Ensure consistent and appropriate communication to the operations team regarding ongoing availability to undertake telehealth consults.
• Request patient test results from health professionals as required to enable thorough consultations.
• Stay informed on industry updates and changes; use this knowledge where appropriate during consultations.

Skills and Experience

• Experience within community‑based settings and the NDIS (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to utilise video telehealth technology to perform thorough medical assessments.
• Efficient communication skills to liaise with the operational support team and patients.
• Experience in using a scheduling platform to ensure availability to provide telehealth services remains updated.

Qualifications

• Relevant psychiatry medical qualifications or equivalent.
• Full registration with AHPRA as a psychiatrist.
• Hold a fellowship from RANZCP.
