Job summary

Speaking Therapy in Revesby, NSW, is seeking a paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will work with children, adolescents and adults, delivering therapy, AAC supports and evidence-based plans within a collaborative setting.

You will have opportunities to mentor, develop skills and contribute to Visuals2Go while delivering family-centred care in a flexible arrangement with full-time, part-time or casual options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Experience with paediatric therapy, AAC or visual supports is advantageous.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills with families and educators.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, including standardised and functional assessments where appropriate.
• Develop individualised, evidence-informed therapy plans based on client strengths, needs and goals.
• Deliver engaging, play-based and functional occupational therapy interventions.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions where appropriate.
• Support children with developmental delays, Autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences and other developmental or physical disabilities.
• Incorporate AAC, visual supports and assistive technology into therapy to promote communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate with Speech Pathologists and other team members to support clients who use AAC.
• Work closely with Special Educators and Allied Health Assistants to provide integrated care.
• Liaise with parents, carers, schools and other professionals to support generalisation of skills across environments.
• Provide practical recommendations, home programs and environmental adaptations.
• Maintain high-quality clinical documentation, assessment reports, progress reports and therapy plans.
• Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision and professional development.

Education

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
