Job summary

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a strong commitment to Aboriginal health equity. This full-time, short-term contract runs to 1 October 2027 within the Watto Purrunna Primary Health Care team, covering Adelaide's northern metro region.

You will provide culturally safe OT assessments and interventions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring documentation aligns

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Paediatric OT experience with developmental/functional assessments.
• Understanding of health determinants affecting Aboriginal children and families.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal communities in primary health care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-cultural teams.
• Current SA driver’s license; travel within community areas may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-informed paediatric OT assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with Aboriginal health practitioners and allied health colleagues.
• Coordinate child-centred care within Watto Purrunna Primary Health Care framework.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation compliant with SA Health standards.
