Job summary

Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS) invites applications for a role delivering quality outcomes for children, young people and families within the Paediatric Cardiac Perfusion unit and PICU. You will apply specialist expertise in paediatric cardiac bypass and ECLS and provide professional leadership in developing clinical practices, procedures, and protocols.

The role also includes supervising staff, mentoring junior clinicians, and contributing to on-call coverage

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist clinical and consultancy services within the paediatric cardiac perfusion unit and the paediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
• Apply high level specialist expertise in the clinical practice of paediatric cardiac bypass and extracorporeal life support (ECLS).
• Provide professional leadership in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care in the perfusion department and the QCH ECLS team.
• Participate in 24 hrs/day, 7 days a week emergency on-call roster.
