Westmead Hospital within Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver specialist post-anaesthetic care in a fast-paced PACU setting. The role is temporary full time, located at Westmead Hospital, with 38 hours per week and remuneration of AUD 41.22–57.88 per hour.

You will join a large, diverse health service, work within a collaborative Perioperative Services team and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes while benefiting from mentoring and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must hold current Nursing registration with AHPRA.
• Perioperative PACU experience or high dependency unit experience desirable.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care and patient safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with teamwork and leadership qualities.
• Current NSW driver license is required for on-call duties.
• Participation in ongoing professional development and willingness to share expertise.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in the PACU.
• Monitor patients, recognise complications and support safe recovery and transfer.
• Perform comprehensive clinical handover and document care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and communicate with patients and families.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to efficient use of clinical resources.
